Hello there, I'm Sarah and I've been making all sorts of websites for councils, charities, small companies, large organisations and individuals for over 20 years. I love to make Joomla! websites that are beautiful and easy-to-use for the admin as well as the visitor.

I'm based in the UK, and after completing my illustration degree, started working as a greetings card illustrator before finding full-time work as the designer at local website company.

I found I loved crafting things with css and html just as much as with paint and pencils, and that really enjoyed making things better for people.

Unfortunately, my old company wouldn't let me work from home or start earlier in the mornings (it's when I work best) and in 2006 I decided to go it alone. 

Well, what a huge learning curve that turned out to be! With programmers no longer on-hand to help, another colleague suggested Joomla!® on a project we were working on together, and I've been using it ever since.

With its multitude of options, extensions and layout overrides, you can really make it your own. However, all these options can make it confusing and especially for a newbie, or non-techie person.
